A Gibson County man's Murder trial was put on hold Monday after being declared a mistrial, according to the Gibson County Prosecutor's Office.
Jury selection for Jacob Wilson began on Monday morning. During jury selection, the Defense for Wilson moved to a mistrial due to a response to a question from several jurors.
The state didn't object to the mistrial and it was granted by the court according to the prosecutor's office.
Wilson is charged with the March 2018 death of Samuel Bethe. Police say Wilson and his co-defendant, Ashley Robling, fled to Illinois after Bethe was found shot in the head inside his burning home.
In 2019, Robling entered into a plea agreement and was sentenced to 45 years in prison.
Wilson's new trial date is now set for May 10 at 8:30 a.m.
