Jackie Young of Princeton, Indiana, will now be competing in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

USA Basketball announced the news on Monday, stating that Young would be joining the U.S. Olympic 3x3 Women’s Basketball Team for the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Young comes as a replacement for Katie Lou Samuelson, who will no longer be able to compete in Tokyo after contracting COVID-19, according to an announcement made by Samuelson on Instagram.

After attending Princeton Community High School, Young went on to attend the University of Notre Dame before being drafted by the Las Vegas Aces in 2019.

Young now joins Stefanie Dolson, Alisha Gray, and Kelsey Plum on the roster for the U.S. Olympic 3x3 Women's Basketball Team.
