The Gibson Southern Titans finally got over the Semi-State hump, trouncing Tri-West in the Indiana 3-A football semifinals, 44-7 Saturday evening in Lizton.

The Gibson Southern Titans finally got over the Semi-State hump, trouncing Tri-West in the Indiana 3-A football semifinals, 44-7 Saturday evening in Lizton, earning their first-ever trip to Indiana's ultimate game.

The Titans were led by star senior quarterback Brady Allen, who threw for 381 yards passing.

Gibson Southern will face Indianapolis Brebeuf Jesuit in the 3-A State Title Game at Lucas Oil Stadium, next Friday at 2:30 pm central time. The Braves edged Mishawaka Marian 17-16 in the other 3-A Semi-State game Friday.
