It's another chilly morning on this Friday; morning lows tumbled into the upper 30s and low 40s as we kicked off the last day of the work week. Don't let our cool start fool you though, Friday afternoon will bring about our warmest weather in nearly two weeks!
Our northerly winds that have helped keep temperatures below average for the last week, will finally shift southward Friday. While wind speeds are only expected to top out near 5 mph, all of today's anticipated sunshine paired with a weak southerly wind flow will help drive temperatures into the low 70s area-wide; we'll reach an afternoon high of 71° in Evansville! Conditions will remain quite comfortable as we head into Friday evening and early Saturday. After dipping to 67° around dinnertime, we'll only have dropped into the upper 40s and low 50s by Saturday morning.
