The Office of Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker said Friday that the governor was currently in isolation due to a possible COVID-19 exposure.
According to the statement from Gov. Pritzker's office, the exposure was the result of an external meeting with the Governor that took place on Monday in a large conference room in the Governor’s Office.
Gov Pritzker received a COVID-19 test Friday, and his office plans to release the results of that test.
Until the test results are received, the governor will remain in isolation.
This isn't the Illinois governor's first potential run-in with the virus. Pritzker had previously quarantined in late-September after one of his staff members tested positive for COVID-19.
