Granted is hosting their 6th Annual "Dishes for Wishes" starting Monday.

The organization works to serve children with terminal or life-threatening conditions and fulfill their greatest wishes.

Those who participate can buy tickets to local eatery's while funding the program.

Organizers say tickets will sell for $40, with more than 12 locations participating throughout the week.

"Each wish is as unique as the child and right now we have several wishes to take care of," says Teri Barnes, Granted Official. "Most of our wishes, about 85% or more, is for Disney. We have other wishes such as toys, sensory toys, room makeovers. I wish to swim with the dolphins, I wish for a front porch, I wish for a golf cart. There's several different wishes so each wish is as unique as the child."

Officials say three wishes have already been Granted this year. 13 are in the planning process and three are in the approval process.

There is a goal of $50,000 to help fund these plans.

The bitterly cold start to our Wednesday will inevitably lead to a cooler-than-average afternoon across the Tri-State. We're currently expecting an afternoon high of 26° in Evansville on Wednesday afternoon (that’s 17° below average for this time of the year). Temperatures will once again dive back down towards the teens for many of us overnight and into early Thursday. As for right now Thursday morning looks as though will be slightly warmer, but only just - believes model data indicates that we will see a morning low temperature of 14° under partly cloudy skies in Evansville tomorrow morning.
