Another free COVID-19 vaccine clinic is coming to Owensboro on Thursday as the city continues to see vaccination numbers increasing.

On Thursday, the Chamber of Commerce and the green river district health department will be here at first Christian church offering free covid-19 vaccines to anyond and everyone

The Green River District Health Department will be giving out free shots from 8:30 a.m -1:00 p.m. This will be a mobile vaccine clinic, so you’re asked to stay in your car.

This is the sixth mobile vaccine clinic hosted by the chamber, and they say they keep seeing growing numbers.

“We will continue to do clinics until people are not coming, because every clinic we have so many people there, we realize there’s still a need in the community," said Candance Castlen Brake, president of the Owensboro Chamber of Commerce.

In the first five vaccine clinics, the chamber of commerce and the Green River District Health Department were able to give out more than 500 free vaccinations, and they’re hopeful for even more residents to come tomorrow at their sixth drive-thru vaccine clinic.

It was another cool, though overall pleasant day across the Tri-State - after only seeing temperatures dive as low as 22° early this morning, peak temperatures ended up climbing a few degrees higher than Thursday's; that being said, Evansville’s high temperature of 27° Was still 15° below average for this time of the year. As for the evening ahead, temperatures will gradually fall for 23° around dinner time back down to 19° by10 PM. A weak northerly wind flow most of the night paired with our crystal clear skies will cause temperatures to of fall back down into the mid to low teens once again - Evansville's anticipated low temperature of 12° will mark or coolest since the morning of January 7th.
