The City of Evansville has designated funds to HOPE of Evansville, allowing it to reopen its COVID-19 emergency assistance program to help those who are struggling.

HOPE is now accepting applications for these funds. In order to qualify, you must:

  1. Live within Evansville City Limits.

  2. Have an annual household income at or below 80% of Area Median Income.

  3. Be currently behind on a housing or utility account with you listed as an account holder.

  4. Have experienced an economic hardship (loss or reduction of income) due to COVID-19.

According to HOPE, financial assistance is based on eligibility and need. This assistance requires documentation and can take 3-5 weeks to process after all information is received.

For those who require assistance before the end of the month in which they apply, HOPE recommends calling 2-1-1 for alternative options.

Monday morning, we will see partly sunny skies with temperatures still in the mid 20°s. By the afternoon, we will be warming up into the mid 40°s with cloud coverage increasing. This is due to a cold front expected to traverse the tri-state overnight Monday.
