Like all high school sports teams this fall the Memorial Tigers had to deal with the uncertainty of Covid-19. But for a team with aspirations of making another state run, nothing was going to stop memorial from achieving its goals.

"I'm going to remember this state run and also just all of the things we got through this year with Covid and all of the battles that we went through and we just stayed hungry and kept our egos down and kept playing," said Memorial Senior Midfielder Isaac Bennett.

"Undoubtedly is that they persevered through this Covid, we're wearing masks and stuff like that. Never once did they complain they just did what we ask of them, just tried to keep them as safe as possible and when they came onto the field they just played and it's easy to let this Covid stuff in regular life kind of drag you down and these guys never did that. Their goal was to get here and win this game and Covid wasn't going to stop them from doing that so I'm really proud of them and that's been something that no athlete has dealt with up to this point so I'm really really proud of them," said Memorial Head Coach Bill Vieth.
