The Dubois County Health Department is planning several COVID-19 vaccine clinics at schools in the area.

Students in Dubois County who are at least 12-years-old will have the option to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at the following schools on the following dates:

  • Jasper High School - Aug. 24
  • Forest Park Jr./Sr. High School - Aug. 26
  • Southridge Middle and High School - Sept. 1
  • Jasper Middle School - Sept. 3
  • Holy Trinity-East Campus - Sept. 23

The vaccine clinics are being offered by the health department in partnership with the Dubois County Schools district.

During the clinics, the Pfizer vaccine will be administered free of charge. Insurance information is requested, but the vaccine will be provided for free regardless of coverage status.

After these clinics, the health department will return to each school three weeks later to administer second doses of the vaccine.

Anyone with questions is asked to call the health department at 812-481-7056.

The combination of sunshine and southerly winds will make for another abnormally mild day throughout the Ohio Valley - expect an afternoon high temperature near 69° this afternoon. Friday evening looks as though it will be just as pleasant; after seeing the upper 60s earlier in the day, we'll dip to 60° by 5 PM before falling towards 54° around 7 o’clock. We are however, watching a passing low pressure system and accompanying cold front that is expected to pass through the Tri-State late Friday evening and early Saturday morning.
