The heat and humidity aren't going anywhere!! Expected another muggy day with scattered storm chances likely. Highs will reach the mid 80s.

Posted: Aug 13, 2020 6:35 AM

Most of the Tri-State is heading out to mostly cloudy and foggy conditions. Low visibility will be likely until the fog begins to diminish later this morning. Temperatures dipped down to the low 70s in most of our communities. Evansville hit a low of 72°.

We will be looking towards another warm and muggy day. Unfortunately, rain chances will be likely through our Thursday. It is a good idea to grab the rain gear incase you run into those storms on your drive to and from work. High temperatures are expected to reach 86°, but it will depend on cloud cover and the timing of those showers.

A break from the rain is expected in the early evening hours, but is expected to return overnight into Friday morning. We'll dry off Friday afternoon and look towards a mostly dry and sunny weekend.

After what was our coldest start today since January 8th, temperatures only climbed as high as 25° in Evansville earlier today, marking our coolest afternoon in just under two weeks. The evening ahead will be equally bone-chilling; after seeing temperatures around 21° at dinnertime we'll tumble back down to 19° by 10 o’clock under gradually decreasing cloud cover. The combination of clear skies and northerly winds will allow temperatures to fall all the way back down to 15° in Evansville early Friday morning. Worse yet, windchill values are expected to dive right back down into the single digits area-wide.
