If you love the heat and humidity, you're in store for a treat this week!
Conditions are on the comfortable side this morning despite what's to come this afternoon. Temperatures are starting off in the low 60s, all the way up to the low 70s in Vincennes. Evansville dipped down to a low of 69°. Make sure you take your time on the roads this morning because fog could be dense in our suburban and rural communities with visibilities less than a mile.
By mid-morning the low-level cloud coverage will dissipate and temperatures will accelerate into the upper-80s and lower-90s. We're expected to top out in the afternoon with highs in the low 90s, but it's the humidity levels that will be making it feel oppressive. Heat index values will be hovering in the mid-to-upper 90s. With a combination of heat and humidity, there is a slight chance of some thunderstorms developing this afternoon. They look to be mostly pop-ups, but you do want to grab that umbrella just incase.
Your late-evening will entail dry and clear skies, with temperatures falling into the low 70s through the overnight hours. The next handful of days will include mostly sunny skies, temperatures maxing in the low-90s, and oppressive humidity.
