The Henderson County Coroner has been called to a crash on KY 425 that closed the road in both directions at mile marker 0.45.
The call to the coroner's office came in just before 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC), the crash is between U.S. 41-A and U.S. 60 and involves a commercial vehicle and a car.
Around 2:00 p.m., officials estimated the closure to last for about three hours, until approximately 5:00 p.m. - though KYTC announced the road had reopened around 3:40 p.m.
44news crews have recently received the names of the deceased victims to be 79-year-old Geraldine Watson and 24-year-old Ryan Watson both of Henderson, Kentucky.
The semi driver involved in the crash was uninjured.
