According to Henderson County Schools, "Readifest," the program that helps students that are in need of assistance with school supplies, will not occur this year.

Although the typical Readifest won't occur, Henderson County Schools says school supplies are still available through other means.

Students in grades K-5 that are in need of assistance with school supplies must complete the Readifest Request Form.

North Middle School and South Middle School students requiring assistance can pick up supplies at their school on August 20th from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on a first-come-first-serve basis

Central students that are in the elementary grades may sign up online for school supplies selecting the Central Academy as their school for this year, while middle and high school students must contact the school for assistance.

HCHS students must contact the Youth Service Center for assistance.

Thelma B. Johnson Early Learning Center students will automatically receive school supplies for the year when school starts for preschool in September.

Parents are asked to follow their child’s school on Facebook for more information on orientation and back to schools plans.

The Tri-State is about to witness a metric ton of change over the next 36 hours or so, but before we get to the meat of the forecast let's focus on the hearer and the now - after seeing an absolutely gorgeous start to the work week with afternoon highs nearing the 70° mark and little to no cloud cover, clear skies will linger through the evening ahead and into tomorrow morning as temperature gradually dwindle into the upper 30s and low 40s area-wide. We'll fall to 42° in Evansville setting the stage for yet another mild, albeit far less quiet Tuesday ahead.
