Officials with Henderson County Schools (HCS) say the district is partnering with Wal-Mart Pharmacy to vaccinate its employees soon.

According to an announcement made Monday, district employees will have the chance to receive the Moderna vaccine as soon as Wednesday, Feb. 3.

According to HCS, Wednesday's clinic will be the first of 11 clinics that will be held for district employees, providing multiple opportunities for them to receive the vaccine.

HCS says all employees receiving the vaccine are doing so voluntarily.

The Bluegrass State is now in Phase 1B of its vaccination plan, meaning anyone age 70 and above, K-12 school personnel, and all individuals made eligible under the previous phases can receive the vaccine.

It was an absolutely gorgeous afternoon throughout the Tri-State, but despite our seemingly endless supply of sunshine today, temperatures remained more than 10° cooler than the norm for this time of the year. Fortunately, today's peak temperature of 65° represents our coolest anticipated afternoon high temperature through the remainder of our extended forecast. While it is indeed encouraging that temperatures will gradually rise through the rest of the work week into the weekend ahead, we'll still have to deal with temperatures back down into the upper 30s and low 40s early Thursday morning.
