The Henderson County Sheriff's Office is investigating a strangulation they say took place on Thanksgiving night.
In release from the sheriff's office, they say there were called to the 800 block of Pleasant Hill Road to investigate allegations that a man named Donald Howard had physically assaulted a woman, choking her.
Deputies say they learned Howard had an active Felony Probation Violation Warrant.
When they arrived inside the home, deputies say they found methamphetamine, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.
Howard was charged with assault in 4th degree and strangulation in the first degree, among several other drug charges.
