The Henderson Lions Club said Monday that its February 2021 auction wouldn't be held due to safety concerns surrounding the pandemic.

Although the Henderson Lion Club's auction was canceled, the nonprofit organization now plans to hold its first-ever "Henderson Lions 50/50 Half-Pot Raffle Fundraiser," which will be held over the first two weeks of February 2021.

Members of the club will operate a ticket booth in the parking lot of the old IBT Building on 2nd street from Feb. 4 - Feb. 6, and Feb. 11 - Feb. 13.

Those wanting to buy tickets can drive through and purchase them, though exact ticket prices are still to be determined.

On Sunday, Feb. 14, the winning half pot ticket will be announced. The winner of the half pot will collect 50% of the proceeds, with the Henderson Lions Club retaining the other 50%, which will be used to support the needs of the community.
