The Henderson Police Department says Roddrick Armstead of Henderson, Kentucky, was charged with Kidnapping on Thursday after a female reported she was forcefully taken by him from her home in Evansville.

According to HPD, officers took a report from a female on Thursday who said Armstead forcefully took her from her residence in Evansville.

The victim told police that Armstead brought her to his apartment in Henderson, Kentucky, where he hit her with the shower head after forcing her into the bathtub. The victim said she was forced to change clothes and was assaulted more.

According to police, the victim said she was eventually forced into a vehicle again where she was driven to a new location. That's when the victim says Armstead got into an altercation with his brother, allowing the victim to get in the driver's seat, drive off, and call 911.

HPD says that when officers responded to the victim's location, she had very obvious injuries to her head, face, mouth, shoulders, and arms.

According to HPD, Armstead was located and questioned before being arrested and charged with kidnapping.

The combination of sunshine and southerly winds will make for another unseasonably warm day throughout the Ohio Valley - expect an afternoon high temperature near 69° this afternoon. Some areas could even see temperatures well into the 70s. Friday evening looks as though it will be just as pleasant; after seeing the upper 60s earlier in the day, we'll dip to 60° by 5 PM before falling towards 54° around 7 o’clock. We are however, watching a passing cold front that is expected to pass through the Tri-State late Friday evening and early Saturday morning. We won't see any rain from this front, but it will cool temperatures into the low 40s by Saturday morning.
