Henderson Police are investigating the strangulation case of a juvenile Sunday afternoon.

Henderson Police are investigating the strangulation case of a juvenile Sunday afternoon.

Authorities say, they responded to the 1700 Block of North Green Street around Noon in reference to locating a missing juvenile.

According to the press release, the juvenile stated, her mother attacked and strangled her on the 600 Block of 1st Street.

The mother told officers, the family member the juvenile was staying with knew she was missing and failed to report the situation. 

Charges include Assault (4th Degree), Domestic Violence against a Minor, and Custodial Interference.

HPD is asking for anyone with additional information to call the department at (270) 831-1295.

Our snowy, slick start to the day gave way to a gloomy, gray and chilly afternoon throughout the Tri-State. After only reaching temperatures in the mid 30s early in the day, we will see temperatures gradually tumble back down into the upper 20s by 10 o’clock. Despite the gradual clearing conditions overnight (which would normally lead too a much colder morning), the mercury is expected to remain relatively stable into early Tuesday morning. The return of a southerly wind flow overnight will help keep the temperatures milder as we head towards daybreak.
