Police in Henderson are looking for two suspects involved in a shooting incident that occurred on Madison Street over the weekend.

According to the Henderson Police Department, officers responded to the area of Raj's Food Mart at 925 Madison Street on Saturday in reference to shots being fired.

While searching the area, HPD says officers spotted 18-year-old Alianard D. Washington, who had an active warrant for 1st Degree Robbery.

HPD says that while officers attempted to arrest Washington, he became violent, assaulting two officers before fleeing the scene in a 2017 silver Rogue Nissan.

Police say the driver of that car was 22-year-old Mickell M. Higgens.

Officers pursued the duo for several miles until finally, both suspects fled on foot and were unable to be located.

HPD is asking the public to be on the lookout for both individuals, who are being considered "very dangerous".

Anyone with information should call HPD's Investigations Division at 270-831-1295.

Just another day in paradise. Temperatures surged back into the low 70's for the first time in a week and a half and with southerly winds finally returning to the region, more warmth is on the way for the Tri-State. In fact, this evening looks nothing short of absolutely gorgeous across the area - by dinnertime we'll have fallen back down to 71°, but only as low as 58° by 10PM. So, if you have plans out and about this evening, all you may need will be a sweatshirt. We'll also remain relatively mild early Saturday morning, especially when you compare Saturday morning's anticipated low of 48° to previous mornings earlier in the week. Brrr.
