A western Kentucky woman was arrested on Thursday night after police say she crashed into a building on N. Elm Street while driving under the influence.
The Henderson Police Department says officers were called to a crash in the area of 120 N. Elm St. just before 10:00 p.m. on Thursday night.
When officers got there, they say they found an SUV driven by 64-year-old Donna Hatfield of Henderson, Kentucky, had crashed into a building. They say she had also crashed into a power pole and lamp post across the street.
According to police, Hatfield was under the influence of alcohol when it happened.
Hatfield was arrested and booked into the Henderson County Jail on charges of OMVWI.
Police say a portion of N. Elm Street was closed for a while after the crash, and that the building that was hit was significantly damaged. The power pole that was damaged also had to be replaced.
