After Sunday, Holiday World & Splashin' Safari will be closed for the season.

On Saturday, Sept. 26, Holiday World will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., while Splashin' Safari will operate from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The park's hours of operation will be the same as Saturday's on Sunday, Sept. 26, the last day of the season for Holiday World.

Holiday World began to wrap up daily operations in mid-August, and with the cancelation of "Happy Halloween Weekends" due to COVID-19 concerns, the weekend of Sept. 26 and 27 was chosen as the park's final days of the seasons.

A number of different rides and attractions at the park also closed early this year due to COVID-19 restrictions and challenges.

"Attractions close for a variety of reasons, but typically this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, COVID-19 related challenges including staffing levels and low attendance, and routine maintenance needs," Holiday World said on its website.

The combination of sunshine and southerly winds will make for another abnormally mild day throughout the Ohio Valley - expect an afternoon high temperature near 69° this afternoon. Friday evening looks as though it will be just as pleasant; after seeing the upper 60s earlier in the day, we'll dip to 60° by 5 PM before falling towards 54° around 7 o’clock. We are however, watching a passing low pressure system and accompanying cold front that is expected to pass through the Tri-State late Friday evening and early Saturday morning.
