The Honor Flight of Southern Indiana spent Saturday saluting our veterans with the help of the community.
Trip to Washington D.C. were grounded yet again this Fall.
So, for more than 300 area veterans waiting to experience their Honor Flight, the organization hosted a drive-thru parade.
Everyone was invited to the Vanderburgh 4H Center Saturday morning, along with signs, flags, and big smiles.
Organizers say this was to show our Nation's Heroes we haven't forgotten them.
"A lot of the veterans, you know they're older and they tend to think people forgot them," says Scott Zoll, Marine Corps Veteran. "And this gives them that chance to say we love you, we appreciate what you've done, and they stand up taller."
Honor Flight says all veterans who were scheduled to fly in 2020 and 2021 will remain top priority for the next flight, hopefully scheduled for 2022.
