The Hopkins County Health Department is warning residents about a scam asking people about their health and homeownership. The health department says it will not call any residents for wellness checks.

The only time you will receive a call from the health department is if you have an appointment or tested positive for COVID-19.

Health department officials say they will never ask about your personal information regarding homeownership, bank accounts, or anything dealing with money.

We headed out to cloudy skies and some damp conditions this morning across the Tri-State. We've been tracking scattered showers for the first part of the day. While it’s been mostly cloudy, there will be some sunshine as soon as we get the rain out of the area. Temperatures are still expected to reach unseasonably warm values this afternoon. With some sunshine and winds out of the southwest highs should have no problem reaching the upper 50s and lower 60s. Clouds will clear out, but the southerly wind flow will keep overnight lows in the low to mid 40s. Tomorrow morning won't be all that bad considering it will be December 2nd.
