According to Kentucky State Police, 40-year-old Steven S. Hargrove of LaVergne, Tennessee, was arrested and charged on Monday with Promoting Human Trafficking during an investigation into a missing Daviess County girl.
KSP Troopers launched the investigation on Monday when parents of a 15-year-old Daviess County girl reported her missing.
Troopers were led to various parts of Western Kentucky during the investigation but were finally able to locate the 15-year-old juvenile in southern Daviess County with Hargrove.
The missing girl was safely located, and Hargrove was arrested without incident, according to KSP.
Hargrove was transported to the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro where he's currently being held on a $50,000 bond.
Hargrove is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 8:30 a.m.
KSP's investigation into the incident is ongoing. No further information has been released at this time.
