ISDH: More Than 6K New COVID-19 Cases Reported Statewide

The Indiana Department of Health is releasing their latest COVID-19 numbers.

On Sunday, health officials announced that 6,678 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing. 

Statewide, there are now 381,617 totoal positive cases across the state. 

A total of 5,944 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 34 from the previous day. 

To date, 2,309,879 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 2,292,178 on Saturday.

A total of 4,577,211 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26.

Locally, here are the latest numbers: 

Vanderburgh: 11,551 including 139 deaths --122 NEW CASES
Gibson: 2,358 including 34 deaths -- 21 NEW CASES 
Posey: 1,438 including 22 deaths -- 38 NEW CASES
Knox: 2,254 including 27 deaths -- 33 NEW CASES--3 NEW DEATHS
Dubois: 2,939 including 34 deaths --29 NEW CASES
Spencer: 1,021 including 9 deaths -- 18 NEW CASES--1 NEW DEATH
Daviess: 1,858 including 55 deaths -- 23 NEW CASES-- 1 NEW DEATH
Perry: 936 including 21 deaths -- 13 NEW CASES
Pike: 639 including 21 deaths -- 15 NEW CASES

Warrick: 3,844 including 76 deaths--41 NEW CASES

It's a seasonable and dry start to Friday, but the heat is going to turn up this afternoon. Partly sunny skies will stick around with highs in the mid to upper 80s. The humidity may take the way it feels up a notch. Those southerly winds will help push in that moisture making it feel more like the low 90s. An isolated shower can't be ruled out, but any rainfall won't ruin our plans.
