Hoosiers will soon be able to apply for grants to improve internet access in rural and underserved areas of the state.

The Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs is launching a new program aiming to help more people get better access to reliable and quality broadband. The program will begin taking applications for the Indiana Connectivity Program Monday, Sept. 27.

The program is the latest tool designed to connect residents and businesses that either have poor internet connections or no access at all.

"The last year and a half shined a light on the severe importance of having everyone connected," said Indiana Lt. Governor Suzzane Crouch.
