Latest COVID-19 Dashboard Released by ISDH Wednesday

Each Wednesday, ISDH also updates its COVID-19 County Metrics Map, which is an indicator of the current rate of COVID-19 spread in each county in the state.

Counties throughout the state are ranked from "Blue" to "Red," with Red counties indicating a high rate of COVID-19 spread. Each county's rank is based on an average of two metrics: the number of weekly cases per 100,000 residents and the seven-day positive rate.

Currently, most counties in the state are "Orange," with many counties also "Red," including some in our area. Only one county in the state is currently "Yellow," with no counties currently "Blue."

Today's high temperature of 87° was our warmest in a week and a half - we last climbed that high on the afternoon of September 18th when we tipped the scales at 88°. The remainder of the evening will remain quite mild under clear skies; expect temperatures to first fall to 83° by dinnertime before dropping to 73° by 10PM. The clear skies and weak southerly wind flow will help keep temperatures relatively stable during the overnight and predawn hours - we'll wake up to a morning low of just 62° early Wednesday morning.
