On Thursday, the Salvation Army Indiana Division says it will announce a major donation to Operation Allies Welcome and the families temporarily housed at Camp Atterbury.

Each year, The Salvation Army teams up with other organizations to host the Coats for Kids Campaign to keep families warm in the winter.

This year, they plan to extend the cause to young Afghan evacuees currently staying in Indiana.

We headed out to cloudy skies and some damp conditions this morning across the Tri-State. We've been tracking scattered showers for the first part of the day. While it’s been mostly cloudy, there will be some sunshine as soon as we get the rain out of the area. Temperatures are still expected to reach unseasonably warm values this afternoon. With some sunshine and winds out of the southwest highs should have no problem reaching the upper 50s and lower 60s. Clouds will clear out, but the southerly wind flow will keep overnight lows in the low to mid 40s. Tomorrow morning won't be all that bad considering it will be December 2nd.
