Indiana State Police Recognize Trooper for 25-years of Service

Sgt. Dick grew up in Kentland and graduated from South Newton High School in 1992.

Sergeant Chad Dick was recently recognized for achieving 25 years of service with Indiana State Police.

Sgt. Dick graduated from the 53rd ISP Recruit School on December 24th, 1995, 25 years ago today.

For reaching this milestone, he received an award from Indiana State Police Superintendent Douglas G. Carter that consisted of a framed certificate and a longevity pin to be worn on his uniform.

A native of Newton County, Sgt. Dick grew up in Kentland and graduated from South Newton High School in 1992.

Sgt. Dick attended both Vincennes University and Indiana State University studying Law Enforcement/Criminology until being hired by Indiana State Police in August 1995.

Upon his graduation from the ISP Academy, Sgt. Dick was assigned to the Toll Road Post where he served as a road trooper until ultimately transferring to the Jasper Post in 1997.

Sgt. Dick was then promoted to Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer in 2005.

Sgt. Dick was promoted to Public Information Officer/Recruiter Sergeant in 2007 and again promoted to District Squad Leader (Sergeant) in 2013 at the Jasper Post.

State Fraternal Order of Police Critical Incident/Memorial Team

Served as the Assistant Statewide Team Leader

Field Training Officer
Field Training Officer Coordinator
Member of the Indiana State Police Alliance and Fraternal Order of Police
Served two weeks in Biloxi Mississippi after hurricane Katrina, September 2005

Sergeant Dick, his wife and their two children live in Dubois County.
