A 19-year-old Sturgis, Kentucky, man has passed away from injuries sustained during a fight on Monday.
According to the coroner's office, 19-year-old Dawsun Stevens of Sturgis got into an altercation on Monday with another man.
Witnesses of the incident say Chase Hogan picked Stevens up and slammed him on the ground, causing him to hit his head on the pavement, casuing him to become unresponsive.
Stevens was transported to St. Vincent's Hospital in Evansville where he was taken off life support and later died as a result of his injuries, according to the Vanderburgh County Coroner's Office.
According to the Union County Sheriff's Office (UCSO), Chase Hogan has been identified as the primary suspect in the incident. A warrant has been issued for Hogan's arrest on the charge of First Degree Assault - a charge which could increase in severity since Stevens has died.
UCSO also says the U.S. Marshals Task Force has been called in to assist in locating Hogan, and that there could be more suspects named at a later date.
As of now, it's unclear what caused the altercation between the two to take place.
An autopsy for Stevens is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact UCSO at (270) 389-1303.
