Ivy Tech and the University of Southern Indiana are teaming up to help students further their education. The new guaranteed admission agreement is effective immediately. The agreement will allow students to transfer to a specific bachelor’s degree program at USI, following a student’s successful completion of an associate degree at Ivy Tech.
Ivy Tech Chancellor Daniela Vidal tells 44News the new agreement between the two schools is a win-win, “This type of agreement gives a student a clear pathway for their degree, and sets clearly the expectations in order to move forward. I would like to thank the University for working with us diligently to make this happen," said Chancellor Vidal.
In order to qualify, most programs require students to have a 2.5 cumulative GPA at Ivy Tech although certain majors do require a higher GPA. Students who do qualify will be able to transfer to USI with no less than 60 credit hours, in junior status.
