It's National Walk Your Dog Month and some Tri-Staters are taking the time to celebrate with their pups.

Ivyv Tech Evansville Wellness and Fitness coordinators hosted a socially-distanced dog walk Saturday morning at Garvin Park.

"With Covid and everyone being cooped up for the last several months, especially the wintertime, getting out and trying to fight those winter blues," says Amy Lutzel, Wellness Director. "Walking your dog, that kind of gives you the extra motivation to come out because it's not only good for you but the exercise is good for your dog as well."

As temperatures warm up in the next few months, Ivy Tech plans to host even more wellness walks with furry friends.

For now, you can participate in their virtual exercise activities on Facebook.
