Along with the 4-1 start to the season, a guard for the Evansville Women's Basketball team can add an award next to her name.

Missouri Valley Conference named junior guard Je'Naiya Davis the MVC Newcomer Of The Week following her game last week against Purdue Fort Wayne.

In the 84-71 win for Evansville, Davis scored 35 points to go along with 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal.

The 35 points set a record as the most points in a regulation game for Evansville Women's Basketball history.

Davis shot 4-7 from three point range and 13-17 from the field.

Evansville plays against Murray State Tuesday night at 6PM from the Meeks Family Fieldhouse on the campus.

Wow!!!! It's cold!!!! After a trace of snow in Evansville and some highe amounts to the south, we're waking up to temperatures in the mid to upper teens across the Tri-State. Thankfully, road crews did a fantastic job treating the roads to keep conditions from getting slick. However, the northerly winds gusting as high as 15 to 20 mph has dropped wind chill values into the single digits and even below zero in our western communities. There won't be much of an improvement in temperatures this afternoon. With the strong northerly wind flow and dry skies our highs will only reach the mid to upper 20s. Winds will stay quite breezy keeping the wind chill factor in place through the day.
