39-year-old Jeremy Tudela was arrested on Wednesday and booked in the Vanderburgh County Jail for a preliminary charge of child molestation. He appeared in court Thursday and was given no bond. After his appearance in court on Monday, the judge did not make a decision on a bond.

Tudela owned Tudela Soccer Academy in Newburgh. His arrest comes after a young victim reported the abuse to Holly's House.

Tudela was previously arrested in 2019 and charged with multiple counts of child seduction, after being accused of having sexual contact with an underage soccer student.

He pleaded guilty back then and received a 4-year sentence including one year in prison. He also received two years on home detention with an electronic monitoring device and one-year probation.

At the hearing, the judge stated that she will take his attorney's request for bond under advisement and make the decision later on Monday evening.

He's expected back in court on December 17th.

Local child and adult victim advocacy center Holly’s House encourages people to speak up and say something if a child or adult discloses abuse of any kind.

It was another cool, though overall pleasant day across the Tri-State - after only seeing temperatures dive as low as 22° early this morning, peak temperatures ended up climbing a few degrees higher than Thursday's; that being said, Evansville’s high temperature of 27° Was still 15° below average for this time of the year. As for the evening ahead, temperatures will gradually fall for 23° around dinner time back down to 19° by10 PM. A weak northerly wind flow most of the night paired with our crystal clear skies will cause temperatures to of fall back down into the mid to low teens once again - Evansville's anticipated low temperature of 12° will mark or coolest since the morning of January 7th.
