The Greenville Fire Department says a juvenile was life-flighted to a hospital in Nashville on Monday after being hit by an ATV.
GFD crews responded to the incident on Monday after receiving the call around 3:00 p.m.
When crews arrived, they say the juvenile was conscious and alert, able to speak with units on-scene.
It was then determined that a helicopter would be the best possible method for the juvenile to receive the best and fastest treatment due to the extent of the injuries.
A landing zone was set up in a nearby open field that allowed for an easy path to the original scene of the incident, allowing crews to load the juvenile into the helicopter after a medical assessment was completed.
After being loaded into the helicopter, the juvenile was flown to the Monroe Carell Jr. Pediatric Trauma Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
GFD says that due to the nature of the call, no information on the age, sex, or address of the patient will be released.
