Health officials with the Vanderburgh County Health Department have ordered the immediate closure of KC's Timeout Lounge for a seven-day period.
According to the health department, the order to close was issued in response to an investigation performed by the Indiana State Excise Police on Jan. 16. The investigation was conducted after a report was issued that listed violations of Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb's Executive Orders, according to VCHD.

The Emergency Order to Close issued by VCHD on Wednesday says that verbal warnings were given to the Evansville bar in October and December for non-compliance with prior Executive Orders issued by Gov. Holcomb.
VCHD says the establishment will now be required to provide a mitigation plan before reopening, and that the plan must include descriptions of safety protocols to mitigate all listed issues within the closure order.
