New information has been released on the triple-fatality crash that happened on KY 81 in McLean County on Thursday, March 18.

On Tuesday, the Kentucky State Police said that after further review of scale diagramming and on-scene evidence, troopers determined Dylan Howard was traveling northbound on KY 81 when he crossed over the center line, sideswiping the dump truck driven by Brian Korb.

KSP says that Howard then crashed head-on into the vehicle driven by Joshua Fox, which was following southbound behind the dump truck at the time of the crash.

Originally, KSP thought that Fox had crossed the center line and sideswiped the dump truck driven by Korb.

Fox was killed in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other individuals inside Dylan Howard's vehicle at the time of the crash, 23-year-old Shawna Rodney and her 3-year-old daughter Emberlyn Howard, were also pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Korb, the operator of the dump truck, was not hurt; however, troopers arrested him for Operating Under the Influence.

Dylan Howard and Rodney's toddler son were both airlifted to separate hospitals for treatment following the crash. Since then, both have been released from the hospital.

KSP says the investigation is ongoing.

Our snowy, slick start to the day gave way to a gloomy, gray and chilly afternoon throughout the Tri-State. After only reaching temperatures in the mid 30s early in the day, we will see temperatures gradually tumble back down into the upper 20s by 10 o’clock. Despite the gradual clearing conditions overnight (which would normally lead too a much colder morning), the mercury is expected to remain relatively stable into early Tuesday morning. The return of a southerly wind flow overnight will help keep the temperatures milder as we head towards daybreak.
