The Kentucky State Police (KSP) is supporting Special Olympics Kentucky (SOKY) by hosting a "Cover the Cruiser" fundraising event at locations across the Commonwealth.

From now until May 23, KSP will park its cruisers at a variety of locations across the state.

Kentuckians are encouraged to cover KSP's cruisers with custom SOKY stickers for a minimum donation of $1, with those donations going directly to SOKY.

In the 44News viewing area, you can find a KSP cruiser to cover at the Casey's General Store at 1200 Southtown Blvd. in Owensboro, Kentucky.

The custom SOKY stickers can be purchased at stores at each cruiser location.

You can see a full list of Cover the Cruiser locations below:

The "Cover the Cruiser" event began in 2020 when the annual Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run was canceled in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last year, KSP raised $16,206 for Special Olympics athletes through the fundraising event.
