Kentucky's governor on Friday announced some big incentives for Kentuckians who either have received or will receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
According to Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, any vaccinated individual who's at least 18-years-old is now eligible to win a $1 million drawing through Team Kentucky's new "Shot at a Million" program.
"We know COVID-19 vaccines are life-saving, and now, for some people, they're going to be life-changing," said Gov. Beshear. "In the coming weeks, three vaccinated Kentuckians 18 or older will become millionaires."
Gov. Beshear says anyone who has received either the Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, or Moderna vaccine can enter for a chance to win the million.
The three drawings for the million-dollar prizes will be held on July 1, July 29, and August 26, with winners being publicly announced by Gov. Beshear on each day after each drawing is held.
Gov. Beshear says there's also a new push for young Kentuckians to get vaccinated.
"15 Kentuckians ages 12 to 17 will win full-ride scholarships to a public Kentucky college, university, technical school, or trade school," Gov. Beshear said. "Which includes tuition, room and board, and even books."
Kentuckians who want a chance to win either of the above prizes must enter to win on shotatamillion.ky.gov.
