Beginning in February, Kentucky state leaders will open up the next round of vaccination appointments.
Statewide, the Bluegrass is moving their vaccine eligibility to phase 1B.
That includes those who are 70 and older, first responders, and educators. but in our Kentucky Tri-State area, some districts have already received and delivered their first round of doses.
Along with that new phase comes the state's rollout of massive clinics in partnership with Kroger to target seniors.
The first will be in Lexington, but over the coming weeks new locations will be set up across the Commonwealth.
"This is the building and the planning for what we hope will be a larger amount at the end of this first quarter, which has been rumored. And certainly what we are being told will be a large amount in the summer," Beshear said.
The state has also launched a new website that will connect Kentuckians with the closest clinic and help them schedule an appointment when eligible.
A link to that site can be found here.
