KSP Troopers in Hopkins Co. Increasing Traffic Patrols on Super Bowl Sunday

Kentucky State Police Troopers in the Hopkins Area will be amping up patrols on Super Bowl Sunday to watch for motorists committing traffic violations.

The Kentucky State Police is asking everyone who's planning to participate in Super Bowl celebrations on Sunday to make sure they're abiding by the rules of the road while traveling.

On Super Bowl Sunday, Troopers at KSP Post 2 in Hopkins County are participating in Operation C.A.R.E. (Crash Awareness Reduction Effort).

During Operation C.A.R.E., KSP says Troopers and Officers will put a high emphasis on all traffic enforcement violations including speeding, seatbelt violations, impaired/distracted driving, and commercial vehicle enforcement.

KSP is asking drivers to follow these tips to increase safety and awareness while on the road on Super Bowl Sunday:

  • Slow Down
  • Buckle Up
  • Move Over for First Responders
  • Eliminate Distractions While Driving
  • Leave Early for Your Destination

KSP says Operation C.A.R.E. is a national effort to increase officer presence on Interstate and U.S. Highways.
