Knox County Reports Second COVID-19 Death in One Week

Knox County health officials reported the county's second COVID-19 death on Friday, just two days after the county's first coronavirus death was reported.

On Friday, the second total COVID-19 death in Knox County, Indiana, was reported by local health officials.

Just two days earlier on Wednesday, Knox County's first COVID-19 death was reported.

There are currently 44 active COVID-19 cases in Knox County, with one coronavirus patient currently hospitalized.

To date, 181 total Knox County residents have contracted COVID-19.

Knox County Health Officer Dr. Alan Stewart says local long-term care facilities are affected. Stewert also says the county is now seeing numerous tests needed for school-aged children.

Dr. Stewart is continuing to urge residents to social distance, practice proper sanitization, and to wear masks when necessary, as mandated by Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb.
