As of Friday, eligible Kentuckians can schedule an appointment to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at Kroger Pharmacy locations in Owensboro and Madisonville.
Though the Kroger Pharmacy locations in Owensboro and Madisonville only just started taking appointments, we're told they're booking up fast.
That's the Kroger Pharmacy at 2630 Frederica St. in Owensboro and the Kroger Pharmacy at 540 Island Ford Rd. in Madisonville.
Right now, the state of Kentucky is offering the COVID-19 vaccine to individuals eligible under Phase 1A and Phase 1B of the vaccine distribution plan. This includes all individuals age 70-years-old and above, K-12 school personnel, childcare workers, and first responders.
As of Monday, the Bluegrass State will open up vaccine eligibility to individuals in Phase 1C of the distribution plan, which includes anyone age 60-years-old and up, and anyone age 16-years-old and above who's classified as high-risk.
