This year has been tough for so many small businesses, but one business in Owensboro isn’t letting a difficult year stop them from giving back this holiday season.
Lady Luck Tattoo is launching a 12 Days of Kindness Christmas Campaign in order to bring a little bit of joy to the end of 2020.
And here’s how it works:
Starting on Thursday, Lady Luck will post a brand new kindness challenge each day for the next 12 days, then all you have to do is post a picture or video of you completing that challenge in the comments of their post.
The owner of Lady Luck spoke to 44New about why she decided to create this kindness challenge.
“This has been a rough year for us," said Melissa Smith. "We were closed for 70 days for the first part of the year, but when we closed down the community was really, really supportive. I mean, the very first day, we had people buying gift certificates and doing everything they can for us, so we just wanted to share that kindness around and get everybody to just do a little something for each other.”
Some of the Christmas kindness challenges include donating to the Owensboro Humane Society, leaving lottery tickets on random windshields, and sending Christmas cards to local nursing homes, and each completed challenge gets you an entry at a chance to win the grand prize.
That grand prize, a $500 gift card to Lady Luck Tattoo. The winner of the competition will be drawn on Christmas Eve.
