Light Showers Move in Followed by Cooler Air

Sunday Night Forecast

Posted: Apr 11, 2021 10:15 PM

You will feel the chill in air as you are leaving out for your Monday morning commute. The mercury will be hovering in the mid-40s for most with sunny skies. Clouds will be increasing through the back half of the evening due to the passage of our next inbound cold front. The afternoon will remain dry with partly cloudy skies with a high of 70.

Light showers will develop around 11PM and will continue into the early morning hours. Damp roads will unfortunately be a part of your Tuesday morning drive, but rain chances dwindle by the late morning hours. Don't expect a repeat of the past week's mild temperatures. The mercury will struggle to climb into the low-60s starting Tuesday and beyond.

We headed out to cloudy skies and some damp conditions this morning across the Tri-State. We've been tracking scattered showers for the first part of the day. While it’s been mostly cloudy, there will be some sunshine as soon as we get the rain out of the area. Temperatures are still expected to reach unseasonably warm values this afternoon. With some sunshine and winds out of the southwest highs should have no problem reaching the upper 50s and lower 60s. Clouds will clear out, but the southerly wind flow will keep overnight lows in the low to mid 40s. Tomorrow morning won't be all that bad considering it will be December 2nd.
