Most of our communities were welcomed by snow flurries, strong winds, and bitterly cold temperatures. These are the conditions that will continue through our Monday. Highs are only expected to top out in the mid to upper 30s. Gusty winds will definitely affect our wind chill values- it will feel like the 20s, which will make it feel down right miserable for any outdoor activities.
Skies will begin to clear from the west this afternoon, but temperatures won't go far. The entire area should scatter out all the cloud cover this evening, but a windy conditions will continue through the night. It's going to be even worse tomorrow morning getting out of bed. Temperatures are expected to drop to the mid 20s. Wind chills by daybreak Tuesday will be in the teens over much of the Tri-State.
Thankfully, some more seasonable and sunny weather will take over the Tri-State for the next couple of days. Tuesday is expected to stay on the cold side with clear skies - highs will be in the low 40s. Wednesday will feel much better with sunshine sticking around and temperatures nearing the low 50s.
