The clock is ticking for Evansville Residents who wish to recycle their live Christmas Tree. But across the Ohio River, Kentuckians have a bit longer.
Evansville trash collectors will take your live tree until January 15, all you have to do is make sure it's outside on your regular trash pick-up day. But recycling options are not available for apartment or commericial residents, only residential buildings can recycle Christmast trees through Republic Services.
Meanwhile, Henderson residents have until Feburary 1, to take their tree to Newman Park. The wood chips of the recycled trees will be used on the Canoe Creek Nature Trial at Newman Park. Tree drop-off is located at the end of the Southwest parking lot, past the soccer complex.
All tinsel and decorations must be removed before disposal.
