Local Nonprofits Receive COVID-19 Crisis Response Funding

The COVID-19 Crisis Response Fund of the Greater Evansville Region has awarded $102,640 in allocations to seven nonprofit agencies addressing community needs related to the novel coronavirus.

The COVID-19 Crisis Response Fund of the Greater Evansville Region on Tuesday announced its seventh round of funding to area nonprofits.

The seventh round of funding awards over $100,000 to seven local nonprofit agencies to assist with funding food, operations, elderly and disabled care, mental health education, and shelter.

Included in Round Seven of allocations, Feed Evansville received $23,700 to put towards shelf-stable foods for the community, as well as renting refrigeration space to hold 6,000 boxes of fresh food.

  • Awarded $10,000

Mental Health of America – Evansville, Indiana

  • Awarded $4,000

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley, Inc.

  • Awarded $20,000

SWIRCA – Evansville, Indiana

  • Awarded $12,000

YMCA of Southwestern Indiana

  • Awarded $17,940
