Madisonville-North Hopkins has found a replacement for longtime head football coach Jay Burgett, naming his assistant Chris Price as the Maroons new bench boss.

Price, who has been on the Madisonville-North Hopkins sidelines since 2009, was an all-American offensive lineman at Western Kentucky University.

Burgett left the Maroons program two weeks ago, jumping over to Henderson County, where he'll serve as associate head coach with Colonels bench boss Josh Boston.

We woke up to dry and cold conditions this Tuesday morning. Unfortunately, there won’t be any drastic changes this afternoon. Increasing cloud cover will be likely as a cold northerly flow continues ushering in chilly air. Highs won’t be going very far, we’ll likely only reach the mid to upper 30s Tri-State wide. We’re tracking a little bit of winter weather out to our north and west. Skies will be mostly cloudy tonight with a chance of flurries/light rain. It won't be a big snow by any stretch, but you could see some flurries flying Tuesday night into Wednesday morning around the Tri-State. Don't expect more than a dusting, with greater chances falling north of I-64.
